NOTICE INVITING BIDS
MAGNUMS AREA REMOTE SEWER PROJECT

In accordance with the Municipal Code of the City of Redding, sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., May 28, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the performing of the work as follows:
Replace and up size with PVC or HDPE approximately 8,000 linear feet of sewer line in the Magnums area remote sewer project, as well as rehabilitate all existing manholes and new laterals. Sewer mains consist of 6-inch to 10-inch VCP. This project will add all weather access roads where possible. The Contractor will have the option to either pipe burst or open cut the sewer mains. This project will also include storm drain improvements and concrete work. Storm drain work includes replacement of a 30-inch pipe in East Keswick Dam Road and installing 3 – 42-inch pipes for access to the sewer main network from St Nicholas Avenue. Concrete work includes improvement of the pedestrian access route from Guinevere Court to create vehicle access to the sewer network.
Engineer's Estimate is $4,000,000 Contractor shall possess a Class A or C-34 license at the time bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
