NOTICE INVITING BIDS NORTH WILLIS AREA WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT – PHASE 1 (BS No. 5675) In accordance with the Municipal Code of the City of Redding, sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., March 19, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the performing of the work as follows: The project includes replacement of nearly 12,000 linear feet of water mains with new mains ranging from 4-inch to 18-inch diameter piping, and replacement of associated water services and fire hydrants. The project will also include some storm drain improvements. Engineer's Estimate is $6,335,000 Contractor shall possess a Class A or C-34 license at the time bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
