NOTICE INVITING BIDS NOTICE IS HERE BY GIVEN The City of Stockton, California, will receive sealed bids until Thursday, April 30, 2026, 2:00 p.m., for the Local Street Resurfacing Program Fiscal Year 2025-26 SB1 - Pavement Repair in accordance with the plans and specifications for Project No. WD26003. Each bid submitted for this project shall be on the official bid form obtained from the City of Stockton website at www.stocktonca.gov/pwbid, and must conform to the requirements of the official bid documents, including the plans and specifications. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by the Bidder's Guaranty, Non-Collusion Declaration, and all of the required documents and information. Each bidder shall be licensed in accordance with applicable State laws. All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California. The Contractor shall possess a valid license at the time the bid is submitted and retain the license through the duration of the project. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive. The successful Contractor shall obtain a City of Stockton business license prior to contract execution and retain the license through the duration of the project. Each sealed bid shall be marked "BID" and shall indicate the project name, number, and bid opening date, and shall be mailed or delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 425 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, California 95202, so that the bid is received by the City at or before the hour stated. Bids so received shall be publicly opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk. Bidders and the public are invited to be present at the declaration of said bids. A bid received after the specified time shall not be accepted and will be returned to the bidder. Bidders are hereby notified that the successful bidder and any subcontractor under them shall pay prevailing wage rates in accordance with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as defined in the Stockton Municipal Code; provided, however, that the City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to re-advertise for bids or to provide for the work to be done by the City of Stockton. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Said bonds shall be furnished by a company authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California. On official forms furnished by City, said bonds shall be executed by the surety and contractor before or concurrently with the signing of the contract.
