NOTICE INVITING BIDS TOWN OF ROSS, CA SIR FRANCIS DRAKE BLVD PAVING REHABILITATION TOWN PROJECT NO. 9075-45-SFD SEALED BIDS will be received at the office of the Town Clerk, 31 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Ross, California, 94957, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read, for performing the following work: BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work to be performed under this contract for the SIR FRANCIS DRAKE BLVD PAVEMENT REHABILITATION, in the Town of Ross, consists of, but is not limited to: roadway grinding and overlay; roadway signage and striping; traffic control, water pollution control, and ancillary work as shown on the project plans. Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at a regular Ross Town Council meeting to be held on April 29, 2026. Due to anticipated traffic congestion on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard the Notice to Proceed will not be issued until June 12, 2026. THE TIME FOR COMPLETION OF THE ENTIRE PROJECT IS 20 WORKING DAYS. Note that the BIDDER agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $750 per calendar day if Sir Francis Drake Blvd is not fully opened to 2-way traffic by the end of day July 20, 2025. Paperless Plans and Specifications/Addendums can be obtained from the Town of Ross website at https://www.townofrossca.gov/publicworks/page/accepting-bids-SFD-Pave The Town Engineer has estimated the total cost of this project to be $426,168. Hard copies (11X17 Plan Sheets, 8-1/2x11 Specifications) may be obtained by emailing rsimonitch@townofrossca.gov, and picked up at the Public Works Department at a cost of $60.00 which cost is not refundable regardless of whether the Plans and Specifications are returned or not.
