NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Request for Sealed Bids Notice is hereby given that Art Works Downtown , in partnership with the County of Marin , invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the following public works project: Project Name Art Works Downtown Apartment Electrical Upgrade Project Description Art Works Downtown is seeking bids for Phase Four of its affordable housing electrical upgrade project at its historic building in downtown San Rafael. This phase includes work in four (4) of the seventeen (17) affordable housing units and is intended to improve safety, reliability, and compliance with current building and electrical code requirements. The work generally includes: Replacement of remaining knobandtube wiring in four apartment units Removal of old fuse panels and relocation of circuits to new panels Addition of four (4) circuits and six (6) outlets per unit Full rewiring of each apartment Required lead and asbestos remediation, as identified in the project documents, including compliance, clearance, and all applicable health and safety requirements prior to commencement of electrical work Art Works Downtown has already completed the major buildingwide electrical infrastructure upgrades necessary to support this final phase, including installation of new electrical service, main switchboard, and related utility improvements in coordination with PG&E.
