NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE is hereby given that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of San Leandro in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, California, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., as follows: Matter of PLN21-0027; Consideration of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to expand an existing 7.2-acre metal recycling facility onto two adjacent one-acre lots to improve sorting ability and on-site circulation at 1091 Doolittle Drive. APNs: 42-4530-1-1 and 42-4530-1-2. Zoning District: IG. Applicant and Property Owner: Alco Iron & Metals. Environmental Review: Consideration of a Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared and circulated for public review and comment in accordance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). For further information, contact Cindy Lemaire, Senior Planner, City of San Leandro, Community Development Department at clemaire@sanleandro.org or (510) 577-3348. Members of the public may attend the meeting in-person at 835 E. 14th Street, Council Chambers. Public comment may be made during the in-person meeting.
