CITY OF PLACENTIANOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Placentia will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of Placentia City Hall, 401 East Chapman Avenue, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to consider the following item: PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE PROPOSED PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027. The City Council will consider approval of proposed program funds which will be submitted to the County of Orange for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The Federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 provides CDBG funds for projects that promote the development of viable, urban communities by providing suitable living environments for persons of low and moderate income. Through the Metropolitan Urban Counties program, the City of Placentia will receive CDBG funds through the County of Orange to support public service programs, public facilities improvements, housing needs, and staff administration. The proposed programs include projects to improve the City’s infrastructure by increasing pedestrian and ADA accessibility; provide support services for the senior and youth populations; and preserve and rehabilitate residential housing. The purpose of the public hearing on March 3, 2026, will be to receive and consider public testimony regarding the proposed CDBG projects Information regarding specific projects will be available to the public ten (10) days prior to the hearing date in the Office of the City Clerk, located at 401 East Chapman Avenue, Placentia, California, 92870. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are invited to attend this hearing and express opinions upon the items listed above. ANY WRITTEN MATERIALS to be submitted to the City Council should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the hearing. TWELVE (12) COPIES ARE REQUESTED.
