The Trinity County Resource Conservation District is accepting public input on projects that would benefit off-highway vehicle recreation on public lands in the Pilot Creek OHV area along South Fork Mountain and the Weaverville Community Forest. Two public hearings will be held on Tuesday, February 24th, at the regular monthly TCRCD Board of Directors meeting at #6 Horseshoe Lane, Weaverville, starting at 5:00 p.m. (Pilot Creek) and 5:15 p.m. (Weaverville Community Forest). The public hearing is to solicit ideas and input on the Pilot Creek OHV area-related grant project for consideration as it develops a grant proposal, due March 2nd, 2026 to request funding from the 2026 California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHVMR) Division Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program to carry out Ground Operations (maintenance) along 5 miles of route 2N14, including the repair of two impassable sections of trail.
