Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Transportation Commission of the City of Mission Viejo will conduct a public meeting pertaining to the item listed below.
DATE AND TIME OF MEETING: Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.
LOCATION OF MEETING: City Council Chamber, City of Mission Viejo, 200 Civic CenterMission Viejo, CA 92691MARGUERITE TENNIS & AQUATICS CENTER MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO.1. – A City-initiated petition to consider Amendment No. 1 to the Marguerite Tennis & Aquatics Center Master Plan. The center is located at the southeast corner of Marguerite Parkway and Casta Del Sol. Amendment No. 1 proposes to (1) reconfigure a planned parking lot in the northeast corner of the property, adjacent to Casta del Sol, and (2) add a new parking lot in the southeast portion of the property adjacent to Via Santa Clara. No expansion of buildings or use of the Marguerite Tennis & Aquatics Center is planned. The additional parking would serve existing operations. The two parking lots will have the option of charging a fee for parking.
CEQA DETERMINATION: Environmental issues related to the parking lot expansion are set forth in Addendum No. 1 (“Addendum”) to the previously adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Marguerite Tennis & Aquatics Center Renovation (SCH Number 2010011007) (“Adopted MND”). The Addendum examines the potential impacts generated by the proposed Project and concludes that the proposed Project produces no new or more severe significant impacts than those described in the Adopted MND. All potential impacts identified in the Adopted MND and the Addendum can be reduced to a less than significant level through the implementation of mitigation measures.
