SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE OF THECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN DIMAS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 24, 2026 the City Council of the City of San Dimas, California, introduced an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN DIMAS, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING MUNICIPAL CODE TEXT AMENDMENT 25-07, AN AMENDMENT TO TITLE 18-ZONING, CHAPTER 18.528 SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 17, TO REMOVE THE DEFINITION OF SALES FLOOR AND THE LIMITATION OF 1,000 SQUARE-FOOT SALES FLOOR AREA FOR CONVENIENCE STORES, WHEN ACCESSORY TO A GASOLINE OR SERVICE STATION, AND AN AMENDMENT TO TITLE 18-ZONING, CHAPTER 18.156 VEHICLE PARKING AND STORAGE TO ALLOW EACH GASOLINE PUMP TO BE COUNTED AS ½ PARKING SPACE WHEN ASSOCIATED WITH A SNACK SHOP OR CONVENIENCE STORE MARKET. The proposed Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1334) amends Section 18.528.050 of the San Dimas Municipal Code, pertaining to the Specific Plan No. 17 area, and Section 18.156.050, pertaining to minimum automobile parking spaces required, to do the following: · For the Specific Plan No. 17 area, removes the definition of “sales floor” and the limitation of a 1,000 square foot sales floor area for convenience stores, when accessory to a gasoline or service station use.· Revises the minimum parking requirement for service stations associated with a convenience market, such that ½ space may be reduced for the required number of spaces for each gasoline pump that is provided.The City Council will conduct a second reading and consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 1334 on March 24, 2026.
