Public hearing on vacating unnecessary right-of-way in San Juan Capistrano.

NOTICE OFPUBLIC HEARINGCITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on March 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano, 25925 Camino Del Avion, San Juan Capistrano, California will hold a public hearing on the following:
To consider the adoption of a Resolution declaring that the right-of-way area located at 26874 Old Mission Road, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 is unnecessary for present or prospective public use and vacating the same.
At the hearing, the San Juan Capistrano City Council will consider evidence presented by interested persons for and against the proposed vacation. After considering all relevant evidence, the City Council will determine whether the portion of right-of-way proposed to be vacated is unnecessary for present or prospective public use. Any person may attend the hearing, make inquiries, or present evidence or testimony regarding the necessity of the right-of-way for public use.
A map indicating the location of the right-of-way proposed to be vacated is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s Office located at 32400 Paseo Adelanto, San Juan Capistrano, 92675.
The public is invited to attend the City Council meeting to provide comments on this item. The public may view the City Council meeting live at the City’s website www.sanjuancapistrano.org. The public may submit agenda item correspondence to the City Council electronically. Material may be emailed to cjakl@sanjuancapistrano.org or cityclerk@sanjuancapistrano.org. Please submit correspondence at least an hour prior to the start of the meeting.
If the City’s action on this project is challenged in court, the public may be limited to raising only those issues which were raised at the public hearing, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to the hearing.
