PUBLIC NOTICE PROPOSED ORDINANCE (SUMMARY) Board of Supervisors Information (for Clerk Use only): Approved in Concept:February 24,2026 AMS Item: AMS 25-2809 Scheduled for Second Reading & Final Adoption: March 10, 2026 Ordinance Title: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.37.030 AND 2.37.040 OF THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY CODE (PURCHASING PROCEDURES) Ordinance Summary: This Ordinance amends Sections 2.37.030 and 2.37.040 of the Santa Cruz County Code (Purchasing Procedures) to align with the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector's updated capital asset threshold of $10,000 and to amend the title of County Administrative Officer to County Executive Officer. The Ordinance would allow the County's Purchasing Agent, the Director of General Services, to declare personal property with an estimated value of $10,000 or less be declared surplus prior to sale or disposal; personal property with an estimated value exceeding $10,000 will be declared surplus by the Board of Supervisors prior to sale or disposal.
