PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on April 7, 2026, the City Council of the City of Brea adopted its Ordinance No. 1272 entitled “An Ordinance of the City of Brea Amending the Brea City Code to Reestablish Parking Restrictions on Public Streets for Street Sweeping Purposes and Approving a CEQA Exemption Determination.” A summary of this Ordinance follows: Summary of Ordinance No. 1272 In 2009, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2009-64 establishing parking restrictions on public streets for street sweeping purposes. Vehicle Code Section 22511.5 permits disabled persons displaying special license plates or a distinguishing placard to park in certain parking restricted areas, including any parking zone that is restricted as to the length of time parking is permitted as indicated by posted signage. This Ordinance reestablishes and codifies, with amendments to protect accessibility for disabled persons, the parking restrictions established by Resolution No. 2009-64.
