CITY OF HEMETHEMET, CALIFORNIAORDINANCE NO. 2074 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HEMET, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING HEMET MUNICIPAL CODE, ARTICLE XIII, ADDING SECTION 90-388 OF THE HEMET MUNICIPAL CODE REGULATING AFFORDABLE HOUSING “BY-RIGHT” ON VACANT SITES IDENTIFIED IN THE CITY OF HEMET CERTIFIED 5TH CYCLE HOUSING ELEMENT TABLE H-39, AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65583.2(c) AND GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT PROGRAM H-3i Ordinance 2074: An Ordinance of the City of Hemet, California, amending Municipal Code Section 90-388 to implement Housing Element Program H-3i and comply with California Government Code Section 65583.2(c) by allowing qualifying residential projects on specified Housing Element sites to be approved by right without discretionary review, provided they meet objective City standards and include at least 20% of units affordable to lower-income households. The ordinance was found consistent with the General Plan and exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) and will take effect 30 days after adoption; if any provision is held invalid, the remainder shall remain in effect.
