NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lemoore City Council will conduct a Public Hearing and first reading at its Regular Meeting Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Lemoore Council Chamber located at 429 C Street to consider and accept public comment regarding proposed Ordinance No. 2026-07 to amend the Title 4 of the Municipal Code to add chapter 12 relating to the Volunteer Fire Department and reads as follows: Section 4-12-1: MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES: The City of Lemoore contracts with the Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department Association, a California non-profit corporation, through a Memorandum of Agreement for the provision of basic fire and emergency services within the City.Section 4-12-2: DISCRETIONARY RESPONSE TO CALLS FOR SERVICE: The Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department is expected to respond to every Priority 1 and Priority 2 call for service that is dispatched to them. However, for Priority 3 calls and beyond, the Volunteer Fire Department shall have absolute discretion as to whether they respond and when. This discretion exists due to need for efficiency and responsible use of resources. The purpose of this section is to ensure public awareness of these response protocols to allow for transparency and ensuring that the public maintains reasonable expectations."All upcoming regular and special City Council meetings will also be accessible online at www.Youtube.com/c/cityoflemoore.Persons having comments or concerns about the proposed project are encouraged to attend or submit your public comments by e-mail to: cityclerk@lemoore.com. Emailed comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. the day of the hearing to be entered into record. In the subject line of the e-mail, please state your name and the item you are commenting on. Persons unable to email comments may send them via USPS mail or other courier to City of Lemoore, Attn: City Clerk, 711 W. Cinnamon Drive, Lemoore, CA 93245.
