PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE BY THE CITY OF LIVINGSTON CITY COUNCIL
OF ITS ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon after the City Council of the City of Livingston adopted an Ordinance, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LIVINGSTON AMENDING CHAPTER 2-4 OF TITLE 3 OF THE LIVINGSTON MUNICIPAL CODE REGULATING SIDEWALK VENDING
This proposed Ordinance relates specifically to Non-Motorized Vendors (also known as Compact Mobile Food Operations), defined under the Cal. Retail Food Code as "a food facility that operates from an individual or from a pushcart, stand, display, pedal-driven cart, showcase, rack, or otherwise nonmotorized conveyance." This ordinance does not apply to Food Trucks or other similar motorized forms of food vendors.
The itinerant vendor ordinance is being amended to update the title, definitions, permit application process, and operational standards to ensure statutory compliance while preserving local public-safety controls.
