CITY OF SAN RAFAEL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AMENDING CHAPTER 9.19, ENTITLED "SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL AND EDIBLE FOOD RECOVERY," CHAPTER 11.04, ENTITLED "ENCROACHMENTS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY," AND CHAPTER 12.260, ENTITLED "INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE AMENDMENTS" OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL CODE You are invited to attend the City Council Hearing on the following proposed ordinance and code amendments: DATE/TIME: Monday, April 20, at 6:00 p.m. LOCATION: City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, CA 94901 PURPOSE: To consider a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 9.19 of the San Rafael Municipal Code entitled Solid Waste Collection and Disposal and Edible Food Recovery, Chapter 11.04 entitled Encroachment in the Public Right of Way, and Chapter 12.260 entitled International Property Maintenance Code to update codes related to use of public property, time limits for refuse container placement, and other administrative codes related to refuse service. WHAT WILL HAPPEN: Staff will provide a presentation, members of the public can provide comments/questions, and the City Council will consider all public testimony, deliberate, and determine how to proceed with the recommendation provided by staff. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND: You may submit comments regarding the proposed item by 4:00 p.m. the day of the hearing to Lindsay Lara, City Clerk, City of San Rafael, 1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, CA 94901, or by email to city.clerk@cityofsanrafael.org. You can also hand deliver a letter prior to the public hearing. The City Clerk's office will forward your comments to the City Council and publish correspondence received to the agenda online. Comments received after 4:00 p.m. will be forwarded to the City Council and posted online the following day.
