C I T Y O F A L H A M B R A NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING re RENEWAL OF ZONES A, B, AND C OF THE PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 20262027 Notice No. N2M2651 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, May 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers of the Alhambra City Hall, 111 South First Street, Alhambra, California, the Alhambra City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the following: A. The Public Works Maintenance and Improvement District No. 1 Zone A assessment will be used to pay for the cost of maintaining, operating, and improving street lights, holiday decorations, landscaping and other public improvements in the vicinity of Main Street and Garfield Avenue (Downtown). This assessment is proposed to be unchanged from the 202526 level; and, B. The Public Works Maintenance and Improvement District No. 1 Zone B assessment will be used to pay for the cost of maintaining, operating, and improving street lighting systems, the repair of damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveways; the maintenance of median landscaping and street trees; and street sweeping, weed and graffiti abatement, and statemandated refuse reduction programs. This assessment is proposed to be unchanged from the 202526 level; and, C. The Public Works Maintenance and Improvement District No. 1 Zone C assessment will be used to pay for the cost of maintaining and operating decorative lights, landscaping and other public improvements on Main Street between Atlantic and Palm Avenue, and Palm Avenue between Main and Commonwealth (Auto Row). This assessment is proposed to be unchanged from the 202526 level; and, IF YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN EITHER THE DOWNTOWN OR AUTO ROW AREAS, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED ONLY FOR ZONE B OF THE PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT. The proposed assessments for Public Works Maintenance and Improvement District Zones A and C are $.04594 and $.02075 per square foot of parcel area, respectively.
