The Nevada Irrigation District Notice of Public Hearing on the 2025 Agricultural Water Management Plan, Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 09:00am in person at 1036 West Main St, Grass Valley, CA 95945 or via Zoom.
The California Water Code requires all agricultural water suppliers that provide water to 25,000 or more irrigated acres within their service area to prepare an Agricultural Water Management Plan (AWMP).
The AWMP addresses the District’s water system and includes a description of the service area, water uses, water resources, and a comparison of water supply and water demands over the last 5 years. Also described are the District’s water supply reliability, water use efficiency, information, and drought plan.
After the public hearing is held, the NID Board of Directors will consider adopting the AWMP.The public draft of the 2025 Agricultural Water Management Plan is available for review on NID’s website at : https://www.nidwater.com/ag-urban-water-management-plans
or can be obtained at NID headquarters, 1036 West Main St, Grass Valley, CA 95945. A hard copy has been left at the Nevada County and Placer County Public libraries.Published: March 7, 14, 2026
