NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY PROPOSED FY27 BUDGET The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will hold a public hearing on the FY27 Proposed Budget (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027) at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 21, 2026. This hearing will take place in-person. Public comment can be given live in-person or via telephone. A link to stream the hearing and view the presentations to be made at the hearing will be embedded within the public hearing agenda to be posted at least 72 hours in advance of the hearing date. A link to watch the hearing live will also be available at boardagendas.metro.net. Interested members of the public are encouraged to participate and virtually attend the upcoming public hearing to provide testimony. Individuals unable to participate may submit written testimony postmarked or transmitted through 5pm, May 20, 2026. Comments may be submitted electronically to BoardClerk@metro.net; mail correspondence should be addressed to: Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority One Gateway Plaza, M/S 99-3-1 Los Angeles, CA 90012-2932 Attn: Board Clerk To solicit additional input from the public and stakeholders regarding the annual budget, budget workshops/meetings are scheduled in February, March, April and May with Metro Regional Service Councils, Policy Advisory Committee, Community Advisory Council, San Gabriel Valley COG-Transportation Committee, Westside Cities COG, South Bay Cities COG-Transportation Committee, Gateway Cities Cogs, Valley Industry & Commerce Association, Accessibility Advisory Committee, Technical Advisory Committee, Bus Operations Subcommittee, Streets & Freeways Subcommittee, and Local Transit Systems Subcommittee. The public is also invited to participate in the My Metro Budget Activity (https://mybudget.metro.net/online) and youth under 18 are encouraged to participate via My Metro Priorities (https://mybudget.metro.net/prioritize). For additional information on the FY27 Proposed Budget Development process, stakeholder meeting schedules and other budget development details please visit the Budget Portalwww.budget.metro.net. The results from the FY27 My Metro Budget Activity and the new youth focused My Metro Priorities will be available on the Portal June 2026. Copies of the budget document will be available for public distribution 15 days in advance of the hearing and may be obtained from the Records Management Center (RMC) via email request to RMC@metro.net. Copies of the budget document may also be picked up at RMC on the Plaza level of the Gateway Building or viewed online at www.metro.net. The upcoming public hearing is being held in conformance with federal public hearing requirements outlined in Section 5307 (b) of Title 49 U.S.C., and public hearing guidelines outlined in Section 2-50-025 of Metro's Administrative Code, as amended. ADA REQUIREMENTS: Upon request, sign language interpretation, materials in alternative formats and other accommodations are available to the public for Metro sponsored meetings and events. LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: Upon request, interpreters are available to the public for Metro sponsored meetings and events.
