Notice of Availability Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Muir Woods Road Improvement Project Project Address: Muir Woods Road, from the entrance of Muir Woods National Monument to the intersection with Highway 1 Applicants: Marin County Department of Public Works Project Planner: Rachel Calvert, Senior Civil Engineer (415) 473-2830 EnvPlanning@MarinCounty.gov Project Summary: The Federal Highway AdministrationCentral Federal Lands Highway Division, in cooperation with the Marin County Department of Public Works, the National Park Service, and the California Department of Parks and Recreation, is proposing to improve a segment of Muir Woods Road in Marin County. Proposed improvements include resurfacing, restoring, and rehabilitating the roadway; stabilizing slopes; and replacing the existing bridge over Redwood Creek. An Environmental Assessment (EA) is available for review concurrently with the Mitigated Negative Declaration on the link included below.
