CITY OF NOVATO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING THE NOVATO PLANNING COMMISSION WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: HEARING DATE, TIME & LOCATION: Monday, April 13, 2026, 7:00 PM 901 Sherman Ave, Novato, CA PROJECT NAME & APPLICATION NO.: Costco Fuel Facility (gas station) P2020025 PROJECT LOCATION: 300 Vintage Way, adjacent to the existing Costco store APN 15334036 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Costco Wholesale has proposed to construct and operate a gas station adjacent to its existing store located in the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. The project includes the construction of an approximately 10,000 squarefoot canopy that will cover 14 fuel dispensers that accommodate 28 fueling positions. Additional improvements include three 40,000gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (UST), one 1,500gallon additive UST, a controller enclosure, vapor processor unit, and associated site improvements. Project entitlements require approval of a use permit and design review. The Planning Commission will consider certification (approval) of the Final EIR and approval of the project entitlements at this hearing. CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA): A CEQA environmental impact report (EIR) has been prepared for the Project. The EIR can be downloaded at: www.novato.gov/costcofuel The Planning Commission will consider certifying the Final EIR.
