CITY OF NOVATONOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING THE NOVATO ZONING ADMINISTRATOR WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: HEARING DATE, TIME, & LOCATION:Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00PM City Administrative Offices, 922 Machin Avenue PROJECT NAME & APPLICATION NO.:Vehicle Storage Use PermitP2026-007 PROJECT LOCATION:5400 Hanna Ranch Rd. Building B Units 1-4APNs 153-220-34, -35-, -36, -37 PROJECT DESCRIPTION:Use permit request for Marin County Fire Department to occupy Units 1-4 for indoor storage of four (4) department vehicles as well as equipment used for vegetation management. The site will be used Monday-Thursday by 8 employees, with up to 20 employees working out of the site Monday-Sunday during the summer months. Crews will arrive at 8am and leave around 6pm. Other activities include vehicle washing and minor vehicle maintenance, both of which would take place outdoors. CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA): The proposed project is categorically exempt from the requirements of CEQA and the City of Novato Environmental Review Guidelines per CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 Existing Facilities.
