EASTERN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN, Update the Water Shortage Contingency Plan and Demonstrate Compliance with the Water Conservation Act of 2009The Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) has prepared a Draft 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) in compliance with the requirements established by the Urban Water Management Planning Act (California Water Code ?10610–10656 and ?10608), which applies to urban water suppliers that either provide over 3,000 acre-feet of water annually, or serve more than 3,000 urban connections.The UWMP contains an evaluation of EMWD’s projected supplies and demands as well as EMWD’s reliability under a range of drought scenarios. EMWD is also required to update its Water Shortage Contingency Plan, report on its compliance with the Water Conservation Act of 2009, and include information demonstrating reduced reliance on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta under Delta Plan Policy WR P1.This Public Notice officially notifies the general public that the Draft 2025 UWMP is available for public review at District headquarters located at 2270 Trumble Road or on EMWD’s website atwww.emwd.org.
