NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Placentia will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of Placentia City Hall, 401 East Chapman Avenue, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to consider the following item:
PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO EXISTING COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2024-1 (OLD TOWN MAINTENANCE SERVICES), SETTING A TIME AND DATE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING THEREON AND ADOPTING A BOUNDARY MAP SHOWING TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2024-1 (OLD TOWN MAINTENANCE SERVICES)
The City Council of the City, as the legislative body for the Community Facilities District No. 2024-01 (“CFD”), adopted its Resolution No. 2024-05, "Resolution of Intention of the City Council of the City of Placentia to Allow for Future Annexation of Territory to the City of Placentia Community Facilities District No. 2024-1 (Old Town Maintenance Services) and to Authorize the Levy of Special Taxes Therein ("Resolution of Intention"). Reference is hereby made to the Resolution of Intention, on file with the City Clerk of the City for further particulars.
Pursuant to the Resolution of Intention, based on the unanimous consent of the property owners, the City Council will hold a special election for the annexation of the properties located at the following address to the CFD:
132 W. Santa Fe Avenue, Assessor Parcel Number 339-394-01; and202 W. Santa Fe Avenue, Assessor Parcel Number 339-393-08; and101 W. Santa Fe Avenue, Assessor Parcel Number 339-365-26; and330 W. Santa Fe Avenue, Assessor Parcel Numbers 339-392-07 and 339-392-08
Notice is further given that TUESDAY, MAY 5, 2026, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City of Placentia City Council Chambers, 401 E. Chapman Avenue, Placentia, California, are the time and place when and where the Council of the City as the legislative body for the CFD, will conduct a public hearing on the annexation of the territory to the CFD, call for and hold a special election, and count the ballots regarding the annexation of said territory to the CFD.
Notice is further given that at the hearing, the testimony of all interested persons for and against the annexation of said territory to the CFD or the levying of special taxes within the territory proposed to be annexed will be heard.
Court challenges to any public hearing items may be limited to only those issues which are raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City Clerk at or prior to the public hearing (Government Code Section 65009).
The location of the public meeting is fully accessible to mobility impaired individuals. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Placentia encourages those with disabilities to participate fully in the public hearing process. Information regarding this annexation will be available to the public ten (10) days prior to the hearing date in the Office of the City Clerk, located at 401 East Chapman Avenue, Placentia, California, 92870.
