SHASTA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCE MANAGEMENT NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPROVE ADMINISTRATIVE PERMITS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to applicable law, that the Shasta County Planning Director has determined that the proposed uses meet all applicable criteria and on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, intends to approve the following Administrative Permit: John M. Urias and Heidi G. Urias have requested approval of an Administrative Permit to exceed the 20-foot maximum structural height restriction for an accessory building located less than 50 feet from a property line and to exceed the total combined residential accessory building floor-area limit of 2,500 square-feet for a proposed 20-foot 6-inch tall, 1,800-square-foot shop, located 30 feet from the eastern property line. The project site is located at 8538 Upland Court, Redding, CA 96001, which is situated approximately 0.1 miles south of the intersection of Mountain Shadows Drive and Upland Court. The property is developed with a 3,385-square-foot one-family residence with an attached 720-square-foot garage attached 475-square-foot guest house, a 798-square-foot detached garage, a 792-square-foot detached barn, a 400-square-foot detached metal carport, a 588-square-foot detached RV carport, a 560-square-foot detached metal boat carport, a 112-square-foot pool shed, 120-square-foot yard shed, and a 220-square-foot equipment shed.
