Request for Bids to Perform Subcontractor Construction Services1. Notice is hereby given that ARNTZ BUILDERS, INC. (“Lease/Leaseback General Contractor”) on behalf of the Governing Board of the Napa Valley Unified School District (“District”), of the County of Napa, State of California will receive sealed SUBCONTRACTOR bids for Stone Bridge School and Valley Oak HS Modernizations (“Project”) up to, but not later than, 11:00AM, on March 12, 2026. All bids shall be received via email to bid@arntzbuilders.com . All Correspondence is to be directed to Arntz Builders, Inc. Do not contact the owner or design team.2. Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical subcontractors must be Pre-Qualified with the District prior to end of day 2/26/26 via the Quality Bidders Website. Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained by emailing a request to bid@arntzbuilders.com . Each bid shall be submitted per the Contract Documents and must conform and be fully responsive to this invitation, the plans and specifications and all other Contract Documents.4. All contractors shall be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 to be qualified to bid on or be listed in a bid proposal. Successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Labor Code pertaining to payment of the general prevailing rate of wages and apprenticeships or other training programs. This project is subject to the requirements of Section 1770 et seq. of California Labor Code requiring the payment of prevailing wages, the training of apprentices and compliance with other applicable requirements. Prevailing wage information may be obtained at www.dir.ca.gov.5. Skilled and Trained Workforce Requirements: All subcontractors of any tier must comply with the requirements set forth in Education Code section 17407.5, including providing an enforceable commitment that all subcontractors of any tier will use a “Skilled and Trained Workforce” as defined in Public Contract Code 2601(d). All subcontractors are to carefully review all requirements set forth in California Public Contract Code section 2600, et seq. before bidding the project.6. Bidders must possess a valid California contractor’s license at the time of bid submission and contract award. All subcontractors must be properly licensed for the trades they perform, pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and Public Contract Code.7.
