NOTICE OF DATE TO SUBMIT ARGUMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL QUALIFIED VOTERS of the LAWNDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT that a SPECIAL BOND ELECTION will be held on TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2026, in conjunction with the STATEWIDE DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION, to submit the following measure to the voters: With no projected increase to current tax rates, shall Lawndale Elementary School District's measure to continue modernization of outdated classrooms and school facilities; enhance school security and student safety; and replace aging plumbing and electrical systems; issuing $42,000,000 of bonds at legal rates be adopted, generating on average $2.8 million annually while bonds are outstanding at rates of approximately $30 per $100,000 assessed value, with citizens' oversight, annual independent audits, and all money staying local? Under Elections Code Sections 9502 and 9163, arguments for or against the measure must be filed with the: Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk 12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk, CA 90650 2nd Floor, Room 2013 No later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 Each argument must not exceed 300 words and must include the signatures of no more than five authors .
