Bids invited for restroom and locker room renovation at Rio Hondo College.

PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COSTACCOUNTING ACT (PCC 22000 et seq.)Bid No. 2122
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of Rio Hondo Community College District (“District”) is inviting qualified and experienced contractors to submit sealed bids for the construction project described below.
PROJECT NAME : AJ Annex Restroom & Locker Room Renovation Phase 1
The work shall consist of but not limited to: Renovation of men’s and women’s restrooms and locker rooms, including accessibility upgrades. Reconfigure partitions, site, and building accessibility signage, including towaway sign, install 1-new wheelstop, new Hi-Lo drinking fountain with bottle filler and guardrails, release lockers and benches as identified on plans, remove and replace finishes as identified on plans, new doors, door frames, and door hardware, new plumbing fixtures, and toilet accessories. Modifications to fire alarm devices, power system, and lighting. Sawcutting for modifications to the plumbing system per plan. Install a new make-up air unit, bracket-mounted electric heater unit, and new roof-mounted exhaust fans as scheduled. Existing ductwork and AC unit shall remain. Installation and maintenance of temporary toilet facilities during the construction phase as delineated in the construction documents.
NOTE that work related to the shooting range is not within the scope of work phase 1.
Prequalification of Proposers: Proposers must electronically submit through PlanetBids a completed Pre-Qualification Packet for evaluation by the District. The completed Pre-Qualification Packet must be uploaded to PlanetBids and received by the District no later than 2:30 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
