PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gulf County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider the following proposed abandonment of a county right of way for the Board of County Commissions consideration of adoption of a resolution granting this abandonment in accordance with Florida Statute 336. Specifically, Gulf County has authorized the commencement of the abandonment process and has requested consideration of abandonment for the following right of way or platted alleyway: Proposed abandonment of approximately 300 ft of the northern portion of the public right of way Adventure Avenue (Formally known as St. Joseph Avenue; PB:1 PG:36) that extends into parcel number 04255-065R. (District III) The listed public hearing will be held before the Gulf County Planning and Development Review Board (PDRB) on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 8:45 a.m. est. Thereafter, it will go before the Gulf County Board of County Commissioners regular meeting on Tuesday April 28, 2026, called for 9:00 a.m. est. to be held in the Donald H. Butler Commissioner Chamber and meeting room in the Robert M. Moore Administration Building, Gulf County Courthouse Complex, Port St. Joe, Florida pursuant to Florida Statute 197.3632 and Florida Statute 125. All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed abandonment. If a person decides to appeal any decisions made by the Gulf County Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and that for such purpose he/she may need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceedings made and which would include any evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. A copy of the complete legal description is available for inspection on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. est., and 5:00 p.m. est. at the Planning Department, 1000 C.G. Costin, Sr., Blvd. Room 400, Port St. Joe, Florida, 32456. Should the Commission grant the proposed abandonments following the public hearings, a resolution shall be adopted memorializing the action and published thereafter within thirty (30) days.
