TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE
APOPKA LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Tara L. Tedrow, Esq. has made application to amend the Land Development Code of the City of Apopka, Florida, specifically the Mixed-Use Kelly Park Interchange (MU-KPI) Form-Based Code, to create and establish a Town Center Overlay District. The proposed amendment affects, or may affect, the use of property, the development of buildings and structures, and the development review process for land located within the jurisdiction of the City of Apopka, Florida. Accordingly, the City of Apopka proposes to adopt the following ordinance affecting properties within the MU-KPI area: ORDINANCE NO. 3118
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APOPKA, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF APOPKA BY AMENDING PART III, APPENDIX A, MIXED-USE KELLY PARK INTERCHANGE (MU-KPI) FORM-BASED CODE, APPENDIX C, TO CREATE AND ESTABLISH A TOWN CENTER OVERLAY DISTRICT AND ASSOCIATED DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

NOTICE is given that a public hearing for Ordinance Number 3118 will be held by the City of Apopka Planning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting in the City Council Chambers of the Apopka City Hall, 120 E. Main Street, Apopka, Florida 32703, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 beginning at 5:30 P.M. or as soon thereafter as possible.
FURTHER NOTICE is given that a public hearing for Ordinance Number 3118 will be held by the City of Apopka City Council at its regularly scheduled meeting in the City Council Chambers of the Apopka City Hall, 120 E. Main Street, Apopka, Florida 32703, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 beginning at 7:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter as possible.
Interested parties and members of the public may appear at the above-listed hearings and be heard. Ordinance Number 3118, along with any additional information regarding the application and review process, may be inspected at the City of Apopka Community Development Department, Apopka City Hall, 120 E. Main Street, Apopka Florida 32703, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Pursuant to State law, any person deciding to appeal a decision made with respect to this matter will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
