Washington County seeks sealed bids for Crystal Lake improvements project.

NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS


Washington County shall receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in constructing the:


CRYSTAL LAKE


This project will include the paving of Crystal Lake Road from the intersection of Tricia Trail to Amethyst Lane for a total length of 4000 LF. The project will include drainage improvements using a combination of swales with ditch blocks. Signage and pavement marking are also included during construction.

Completion date for this project will be 150 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.


Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,000.00 per day.


Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid for the CRYSTAL LAKE IMPROVEMENTS.


Bids will be received until 3:00 PM (CST) on May 18th, 2026, at the Washington County Administrative Office, 1331 South Blvd., Chipley, FL 32428, and will be opened and read aloud on May 18 th , 2026, at 3:05 PM (CST). No proposal will be accepted after the established deadline. The County will not be responsible for any delays related to the electronic submission of proposals.


Plans and Specifications will be available from Dewberry. Digital copies will be available free of charge.


The Washington County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Washington County.


RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
