NOTICE TO BIDDERS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL CONSTRUCTION OF 16 POTABLE WATER MAIN EXTENSION (BARTOW RD. CR 540A / INTERCONNECT SITE) FOR THE CITY OF LAKELAND April 28, 2026 2026-RFP-043 Sealed proposals will be received electronically by the Purchasing Manager via OpenGov, the Citys e-Procurement Portal (Portal) https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lakelandgov, until 2:00 pm Thursday, May 28, 2026. Proposals received after this specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud on the same date and time in the office of the Purchasing Manager for the following: RFP Documents may be accessed by visiting our Website at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lakelandgov or by contacting the City of Lakeland Purchasing Division @ (863) 834-6780. Documents are Required for Submittal. Bidders are required to submit their response through the Portal. Bidders shall sign up on the Portal https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lakelandgov if an account does not exist. THE CITY OF LAKELAND WATER UTILITIES ENGINEERING IS REQUESTING PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 16-INCH POTABLE WATER MAIN EXTENSION THAT WILL CONNECT AN EXISTING 16-INCH WATER MAIN LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF BARTOW RD (US HIGHWAY 98) APPROXIMATELY 1,700 LF NORTHWEST OF THE INTERSECTION WITH EAST COUNTY ROAD 540A AND WILL EXTEND TO THE PROPOSED LAKELAND, CITY OF BARTOW, AND POLK COUNTY UTILITIES POTABLE WATER INTERCONNECT SITE LOCATED AT 4250 E COUNTY ROAD 540A.
