City of Marathon invites bids for wastewater treatment plant upgrade project.

 Invitation to Bid
The City of Marathon is accepting sealed bids for Area 5 WWTP Effluent Disposal Upgrade Project
The scope of work for this project consists of furnishing the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the installation of two new 17.4 diameter SDR17 effluent disposal wells cased to 90 deep and after they are installed and tested, abandon the three existing effluent disposal wells at the City of Marathon Area 5 Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The Area 5 WWTP is located at 506 106th Street Gulfside off US Highway 1. The City of Marathon is installing these new disposal wells so they are located in closer proximity to the future pump station which is still in the design process.
Bid documents may be examined at City Hall, 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon by appointment only. Bid documents are only distributed from www.demandstar.com. Bid documents obtained from any source other than OpenBids may not be accurate or complete, and each Bidder assumes all risks by its reliance on such documents. Any
Bidder who have not obtained Bid Documents from OpenBids will not be notified or any addenda issued, which could contain material changes to Bid.
All bids must be received in the City Clerks office no later than 2:00 PM eastern time, Friday, June 5, 2026 located at 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida 33050. Any bids received after 2:00 PM on said date will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at the Marathon City Hall in the Conference Room and virtually on Teams on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10:00am.
