NOTICE TO GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVICE: REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS The City is requesting submittals for continuous Service seeking qualified General and Specialty Contractors to provide electrical, heavy equipment, irrigation, landscaping, marine construction, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, site work, fencing, demolition, marine construction, signage, paving, and underground work (see complete list in RFQ package) on an as needed basis. RFQ documents may be examined at City Hall, 9805 Overseas Highway in Marathon. Proposal documents may also be examined online at www.demandstar.com. All RFQ documents must be obtained from OpenBids. RFQ documents obtained from any source other than OpenBids may not be accurate or complete, and each Responder and sub-contractor assumes all risks by their reliance on such documents. Any Responder or sub-contractor who does not obtain the RFQ documents from Demand Star will not be notified of any RFQ addenda issued by the City, which could contain material changes thereto (such as additions or changes to the technical specifications, extensions of time, etc.) Prospective Proposers shall not contact or otherwise communicate with City staff or City officials except as set forth in Paragraph 4.1 of the Instructions to Proposers. All proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the City Clerk on or before May 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Any proposals received after 2:00 PM on said date will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids submitted will be opened publicly and read aloud at this time in City Hall located at 9805 Overseas Highway Marathon, Florida. The City assumes no responsibility for proposals not properly marked. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, except timely submission of bids, in any bids received, to re-advertise for bids or to take any other such actions that may be deemed in the best interests of the City. As a matter of information to Bidders, the City does not bind itself to accept the minimum specifications stated herein, but reserves the right to accept any bid, which in the judgment of the City Council will best serve the needs and interests of the City. 4/25/26 - KWC 420015 3988502
