LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF MARATHON, FLORIDA Request For Proposals The City of Marathon is accepting sealed bids for Area 3 Vacuum Tank Replacement Project The Area 3 Vacuum Tank Replacement Project involves replacing the existing steel vacuum tank with a new fiberglass vacuum tank of equal capacity in the same location within the existing vacuum station building. The existing tank, approximately 20 years old, shows signs of degradation and is being replaced to maintain reliable vacuum sewer service for the City of Marathon. The temporary vacuum tank and the new permanent fiberglass vacuum tank are supplied by Flovac. It is the Contractors responsibility to review tank As-Built drawings and verify field conditions to accommodate any dimensional variances or alignment issues between the tank and existing piping. Bid documents may be examined at City Hall, 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon by appointment only. Bid documents ar only distributed from www.demandstar.com. Bid documents obtained from any source other than DemandStar may not be accurate or complete, and each Bidder assumes all risks by its reliance on such documents. Any Bidder who have not obtained Bid Documents from DemandStar will not be notified or any addenda issued, which could contain material changes to Bid. All bids must be received in the City Clerks office no later than 3:00 PM eastern time, April 28th, 2026 located at 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida 33050. Any bids received after 3:00 PM on said date will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at the Marathon City Hall in the Conference Room and virtually on Teams on Friday, March 26th, 2026 at 10:00am.
