City of Marathon seeks qualifications for general contracting and engineering services.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The City of Marathon (the City) is accepting sealed Qualification Packages for General Contracting Services and/or Professional Engineering and Consulting Services (the RFQ).
Pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 287.055, the Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act, the City is also seeking to enter into one or more continuing contracts with qualified professional engineering and similar consulting service firms for various projects within the City of Marathon. The City intends to enter into continuing contracts with professional service firms, which may then be selected for specific projects and disciplines under separate Project Specific Agreements. It is anticipated that each continuing contract will be for a three (3) year term with one (1) or two (2) year renewal options at the discretion of the City. Actual completion of assigned projects may extend beyond such term.
The City is seeking qualified General and Specialty Contractors to provide services including, but not limited to, electrical, heavy equipment, irrigation, landscaping, marine construction, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, site work, fencing, demolition, sign, and underground work (see complete list in RFQ package) on an as needed basis.
Selected firms may be tasked to provide comprehensive engineering and other consulting services, including but not limited to: Archeology, Architecture, Asbestos Survey and Removal, Building Official Services, Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Construction Cost Estimating, Construction Inspections, Construction Project Management, Ecology, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Geo echnical Engineering, Hazardous Material Tanks, Hydraulic Engineering, Land Development Design, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Planning, Specification Writing, Structural Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Utilities, Water Resources/Stormwater, Water and Wastewater Services, and Water Tank Inspection/Corrosion Control.
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) documents may be examined at City Hall, 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida. RFQ documents may also be examined online at www.demandstar.com. All RFQ documents must be obtained from OpenBids. RFQ documents
obtained from any source other than Demand Star may not be accurate or complete, and each Responder and sub-contractor assumes all risks by their reliance on such documents. Any Responder or sub-contractor who does not obtain the RFQ documents from Openbids will not be notified of any RFQ addenda issued by the City, which could contain material changes thereto
(such as additions or changes to the technical specifications, extensions of time, etc.)
To be considered, qualifications packages will be received by the City Clerk, at the City of Marathon City Hall, 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida 33050 until 3:00 PM EDT, April 24, 2026 (the Response Submission Deadline). Responses received after this time will not be considered.
