INVITATION TO BID (00100) BID TITLE: FIRE STATION 92 ROOF REPLACEMENT BID NUMBER: Bid No. 26-44-02-CM THE CITY OF SUNRISE, FLORIDA (hereinafter "the City") will receive, open, and publicly read aloud bids for the above-referenced matter at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at City Hall, First Floor, 10770 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, Florida 33351. A description of the Project is as follows: Scope of Work: This work shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary in connection with a Roof Replacement project for Fire Station 92. All work shall be performed in accordance with the reference specifications, reference drawings and all terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall provide plans and specs signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Florida. Contractor is responsible for testing required by roofing manufacturer and by permitting agencies, including but not limited to moisture surveys (infrared thermography), core samples, pull/uplift tests and asbestos testing report. Locations: Fire Station No. 92, 13721 NW 21st Street, Sunrise, FL 33323 Grant Requirements: This federally passthrough project is being funded in part by Federal Emergency Management Agency through the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management. Refer to Section 00400 of the bid document (The Contract for Construction) for the applicable Terms/Conditions and Grant information. Qualification Requirement: The Contractor shall have a State of Florida Certified General Contractors License and/or Florida Certified Roofing Contractors, or License Florida Certified Building Contractors License. The Contractor must have successfully completed at least three (3) projects of similar type, size and complexity within the past five (5) years and provide verifiable references for these projects. The City shall be the sole and final judge in determining if the Contractor meets the Qualification Requirement. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at FIRE STATION No. 92, 13721 NW 21ST STREET, SUNRISE, FLORIDA, 33323 ON APRIL 30, 2026 AT 10:00 A.M. Following the Pre-Bid Conference, a Site Visit will be made. Contractors are responsible for bringing any required sub- contractors to the Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid and site visit. Drawings, specifications and other Contract documents may be examined at the Sunrise Purchasing Division, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 10770 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351. This bid may be obtained at www.demandstar.com. Special accommodation: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based F.S.S. 286.0105.
