Request for Qualifications (RFQ #2026-01)

Engineering and Construction Services – 533 Carlton Street

The Hardee County Industrial Development Authority and The Development Group seeks the submittal of responses from qualified individuals, firms, or entities who are interested in providing full development services from permitting and infrastructure installation to construction of a housing development located at 533 Carlton Street in Wauchula, Hardee County, Florida, while meeting certain metrics as established in the development agreement to be executed upon award. The property consists of 8.118 acres, and The Development Group is open to considering a multitude of development options, including single-family, multi-family, and mixed-use developments. The Development Group is seeking to provide housing opportunities for residents of Hardee County and is willing and able to provide certain incentives to developers if certain metrics are met.  

The selected individual, firm, or entity must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with high quality multi-unit residential dwellings, single-family residential developments, or mixed-use properties.

All responses will be considered on a separate and equal basis.

All questions are due, in writing, to Melanie Roberts in person or via email by Thursday, April 16th, 2026. 

The original along with three (3) copies of sealed proposals of all required forms and data and one (1) exact digitized copy in exact order of proposal on a USB drive, must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, submitted to the Hardee County Industrial Development Authority, ATTN: Melanie Roberts, 107 E. Main Street, Wauchula, FL 33873

Submittal envelopes for responses must be sealed and marked with “Engineering and Construction Response – 533 Carlton Street” and identified by the Name of Firm, Contact Name, and Number of the RFQ.  If more than one envelope is needed, please mark “1 of 2”, “2 of 2”, etc.
