Manatee County anticipates receiving about $2.5 million from HUD for its Program Year 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan, primarily to serve low- to moderate-income households and other special populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, vulnerable children, senior citizens, and individuals living with disabilities. HUD funds will be used to support programs and projects identified in the County's 2023-2027 Consolidated Plan to address the community's priority needs. These funds can be used to support both County and non-profit programs and projects that address community needs. As such, attendance at these meetings or consultation with the County is highly recommended. The public hearing for the Annual Action Plan will be held in conjunction with the Grant Application Workshop for interested non-profit agencies serving Manatee County residents.
