Public hearing on proposed sign ordinance in Eustis.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF EUSTIS, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NUMBER 26 05

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Eustis City Commission will hold a public hearing on February 19, 2026,at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Commission Chambers, 10 North Grove Street, Eustis, Florida, to consider Ordinance No. 26 05, relating to the freestanding sign located at 1909 State Road 19 N., also identified as Lake County Alternate Key Number 3800866.

The ordinance proposes to consider approval of an alternative sign configuration for the existing freestanding sign on the property. The request includes, but is not limited to, allowing the existing sign height of approximately 42 feet and sign cabinet size of approximately 89 square feet to remain as built, together with any modifications, conditions, or alternative configurations the City Commission may deem appropriate, which may include enhanced landscaping, intersection beautification, and participation in the Citys America in Bloom program.

Persons needing special accommodations should contact the City Clerks Office at least 48 hours in advance.

Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard regarding the proposed ordinance. The case file, complete legal description, and proposed ordinance will be available for public inspection beginning approximately five working days prior to the hearing, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Development Services (4 N. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings. For such purposes, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based, pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes. Persons with disabilities requiring assistance to participate in the proceedings should contact the City Clerk at 352 483 5430 at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.
