CITY OF EUSTIS NOTICE OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CHANGE CITY COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The City of Eustis proposes to approve a corrective Ordinance for Future Land Use Amendment Ordinance 24-06 to the City of Eustis Comprehensive Plan, by Ordinance Number 24-06A, to correct legal description errors for the Future Land Use map designation of the property described below. The proposed Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment is described as follows: ORDINANCE NUMBER 24-06A AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EUSTIS, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 24-06 AND ADOPTING A REPLACEMENT SMALL-SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF EUSTIS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PURSUANT TO SECTION 163.3187, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND RECITALS; CHANGING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY IDENTIFIED BY LAKE COUNTY ALTERNATE KEY NUMBERS 1213355 AND 1213347; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION BY REFERENCE OF A COMPLETE METES-AND-BOUNDS LEGAL DESCRIPTION AND FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT ON FILE WITH THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Public hearings on the proposal will be held as follows: On February 19, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., The Eustis City Commission sitting as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) will meet and hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of making recommendations to the City Commission. On February 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the City Commission, as part of its regular meeting, will hold a Public Hearing to accept the LPA recommendations and conduct the first reading of the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment. On March 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the City Commission, as part of its regular meeting, will hold a Public Hearing, for the purpose of conducting the second reading of the Adoption Ordinance. All meetings will be held in the City Commission Room at Eustis City Hall, 10 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL. Interested parties may appear at the meetings to be heard regarding the consideration of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment. The case file, complete legal description of the property, and proposed ordinance will be available beginning approximately five working days before the hearing from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Development Services, 4 N. Grove St., the Office of the City Clerk, 10 N. Grove St., or at www.eustis.org. Please contact our office at 352-483-5460 if you have any questions. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and for such purposes, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based (Florida Statutes, 286.0105).
