NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND OF PUBLIC HEARING The School Board of Alachua County, Florida gives notice of its intent to adopt Instructional Materials for the District, and that it will hold a public hearing to which all persons are invited. Date &Time: March 3, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Location: Board Room, Alachua County Public Schools District Office, 620 East University Avenue, Gainesville, FL Purpose:To receive public input on the proposed instructional materials to be adopted. Potential Adoption: K-3 English Language Arts Intervention Adoption K-12 English Language Arts Adoption 9-12 Personal Financial Literacy & Money Management Adoption The Florida Department of Education's Instructional Materials schedule calls for the adoption of new K-3 English Language Arts Intervention, K-12 English Language Arts & Personal Financial Literacy & Money Management materials for Implementation in 25-26 or 26-27 school year based on the district's implementation plan and corresponding previous adoption expirations. Individual subject based textbook adoption committees composed of ACPS teachers reviewed and submitted recommendations for materials to be adopted based on an evaluation rubric. Below are the recommendations of those committees. All materials recommended appear on either the State Examined & Approved list of Intervention materials or the State Approved Instructional Materials Adoption lists. The Superintendent recommends the Board authorize the purchase of these materials as outlined in board policy 2520.
