Ordinance 1441 was read on its first reading February 16, 2026 and is scheduled to be considered for passage and approval on its second and final reading at the Regular Meeting on March 2, 2026 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. or soon thereafter in the City Commission Chambers, #1 South Allapaha Avenue, Davenport, Florida. 
 
ORDINANCE NO. 1441: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DAVENPORT, FLORIDA; VACATING AND CLOSING THE PLATTED UNMAINTAINED AND UNNAMED RIGHT OF WAY ON EITHER SIDE OF COUNTY ROAD 547; PROVIDING FOR A COPY TO BE FURNISHED TO POLK COUNTY; SETTING FORTH FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
 
A copy of the proposed Ordinance can be obtained from the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, #1 South Allapaha Avenue Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8am ? 5pm.  The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the public meeting. 
 
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact City Hall at (863) 419-3300 at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
 
Any person who desires to appeal a decision of the Board will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings be made to include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
