NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF BARTOW
The City Commission of the City of Bartow will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 6:00 pm, in the City Commission Chambers, at 450 North Wilson Avenue, Bartow, Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to review and act on the following:
Application #DA-22-01 - 1st Amendment - Review and consideration by the City Commission of the City of Bartow of a request by Clear Springs Land Company, LLC, to amend a previously approved Development Agreement with the City of Bartow. The amended agreement substitutes an updated legal description to incorporate additional acreage. The agreement will continue to allow for water and wastewater credit towards impact fees and connection charges related to development activities permissible pursuant to the Clear Springs Detailed Specific Area Plan #1 (DSAP #1), Clear Springs Sector Plan (Sector Plan), City of Bartow Comprehensive Plan, other subsequent land development approvals, and otherwise in accordance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations, on approximately 18,210 (+/-) acres of land. The proposed population densities are those set forth in the DSAP #1, Sector Plan and the Citys Comprehensive Plan. Any buildings to be placed on the property and the height of any such buildings will be consistent with the DSAP #1, Sector Plan, subsequent land development approvals, and otherwise in accordance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations. The property that is subject to the proposed agreement is generally located East of Highway 17, West of Rifle Range Road and North of Highway 60, East of Highway 17 and South of Highway 60, West of Highway 17 and North and South of County Road 640 and West of County Road 555 and North of County Road 640, all within the City Limits of the City of Bartow. A more detailed description of the property can be found with the proposed Development Agreement. A copy of the proposed Development Agreement, as well as copies of the DSAP#1, Sector Plan and Comprehensive Plan may be obtained from the Planning Director, Bartow City Hall, 450 North Wilson Avenue, Bartow, Florida 33830.
All interested persons may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed application. Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 286.0105, F.S., that if a person decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, they will need a record of the proceeding and may need to ensure (at their expense) that a verbatim record thereof is made.
