NOTICE OF REFERENDUM ELECTION CALLED BY WELLINGTON, FLORIDAS COUNCIL TO BE HELD MARCH 10, 2026 The Village of Wellingtons Council will hold a Referendum Election in conjunction with the Municipal Election on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The purpose of the Referendum Election is to consider the adoption of the proposed Charter revisions set forth in Ordinance No. 2025-17 and Ordinance No. 2025-18, which if adopted, will revise the Village Charter. The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Your polling location is listed on your Voter ID Card. You must notify the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office if you move from the address listed on your Voter ID Card. If you are unsure of the polling location for your precinct, contact the Supervisor of Elections Office at (561) 656-6200. Copies of the ordinances pertaining to the proposed Charter revisions are available at the Wellington Clerks Office, 12300 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington, FL 33414, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and the questions are listed online at www.wellingtonfl.gov. Below are the ballot summaries and ballot questions that will appear on the ballot: VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON REFRENDUM QUESTION NO. 1 Qualifying for Office BALLOT SUMMARY: To facilitate timely preparation, printing and testing of ballots, the Supervisor of Elections has required that municipalities now submit their candidates for election at least 95 days prior to said election. To accommodate this, a Charter amendment establishing Wellington's official qualifying period to run for the Village Council as a two week period in November, rather than in January, is required.
