NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE ESCAMBIA COUNTY PLANNING BOARD AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS The Escambia County Planning Board, sitting as the Local Planning Agency, will hold a Quasi-Judicial Public Hearing at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Escambia County Central Office Complex, Room 104, 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola, Florida, to consider the following rezoning request(s) under Part III of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances, the Land Development Code: The Board of County Commissioners of Escambia County, Florida will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, Apil 1, 2026, at 5:49p.m. in the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, Board Meeting Room, First Floor, 221 Palafox Place, Pensacola, Florida, to consider the following rezoning request(s) under Part III of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances, the Land Development Code: Case No.: Z-2026-03 Location: 1516, 1512, 1800, 1800 , 1716, and 1800 Border Street From: HDMU, High Density Mixed-Use district (18 du/acre) To: HC/LI, Heavy Commercial and Light Industrial district (25 du/acre) The Planning Board will make a recommendation on the rezoning request(s) which will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners at a subsequent quasi-judicial public hearing for final decision. To reserve your right to address the rezoning request(s) at the hearing before the Board of County Commissioners, you must be present and give testimony on the record at the hearing before the Planning Board. The Board of County Commissioners does not make verbatim transcripts of their meetings; any person who wishes to appeal (to Circuit Court) any matter considered at such meetings or hearing will need to independently ensure preparation of a verbatim transcript of the proceeding that includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based.
