Dixie County BOCC REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS GENERATOR PURCHASE & INSTALLATION Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners Dixie County, Florida is calling for and requesting proposals from qualified contractors with experience in the provision and installation of an Emergency generator for the Dixie County High School Shelter as outlined in the request for proposals. All proposals must be in writing and will be received by mail, FedEx or hand delivery to Angie Crowley at Dixie County Board of County Commission office 214 NE 351 Hwy Cross City, FL 32628 up until 3:00 PM (Eastern time) 12th, February 2026. The proposals will be publicly opened at this time. Only submittals received by the stated time and date will be considered. Submittals received after the time set for the opening will be rejected and returned unopened to the submitter. All submittals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly labeled, Dixie County RFP Shelter GENERATOR PURCHASE & INSTALLATION. Please provide one (1) original, two (2) copies of the proposal, and one (1) thumb drive with all the above information included (each document must be in an individual PDF format file).Specifications may be obtained from Roy Bass, the Assistant County Manager at assistantmanager@dixiecounty.us. Or in person at Dixie County Human Resources 214 NE 351 Hwy Cross City, FL 32628. Proposals shall be firm for sixty (60) days. Questions concerning this request should be directed to the Dixie County Managers Office, at (352) 498-1426 (tel:(352)%20498-1426) Ext. 2103. Dixie County encourages all segments of the business community to participate in its procurement opportunities, including small businesses, minority/women owned businesses, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The County does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, or age in the administration of contracts. Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendors social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor. Dixie County reserves the right to waive informalities in bids, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in the best interest of Dixie County.
