NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR A VARIANCE REQUEST
HEARING NUMBER BOA 1999
 
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the Highlands County Board of Adjustment on the 14th day of April 2026, beginning at 3:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the County Commissioners Board Room, Highlands County Government Center Building, 600 South Commerce Avenue, Sebring, Florida, to consider a variance of 3 feet to allow a 4.5-foot side yard setback instead of the required 7.5 feet on the west side of the property and a variance of 2 feet to allow a 5.5-foot side yard setback instead of the required 7.5 feet on the east side of the property to reconstruct a damaged dwelling, at 4712 Muriel Avenue, Sebring, within the area described as follows: Lot 137, Lincoln Heights Subdivision, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 42, of the Public Records of Highlands County, Florida.

Any person who might wish to appeal any decision made by this committee/group, in public hearing or meeting is hereby advised that he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record will include the testimony and evidence upon which such appeal is to be based.
