NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A COUNTY ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Okeechobee County, Florida, will hold a public hearing, being on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 A.M., in the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room (the Judge William L. Hendry Courtroom) at the Okeechobee County Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Okeechobee, Florida, for the purpose of receiving comments and suggestions in consideration of the adoption of a proposed Ordinance. The title of said proposed Ordinance is: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING GENERAL PROVISIONS; A CORRECTIONS IMPACT FEE; FIRE RESCUE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES IMPACT FEE; AMENDING AND READOPTING FIRE RESCUE USER FEES; ADOPTING LAW ENFORCEMENT IMPACT FEES; LIBRARY IMPACT FEES; PARKS & RECREATION IMPACT FEES; PUBLIC FACILITIES IMPACT FEES; PUBLIC SCHOOL IMPACT FEES; AND TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEES; ALL IN CHAPTER 52, IMPACT AND USER FEES OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY; TO GOVERN THE ESTABLISHMENT, LEVY AND ADMINISTRATION OF IMPACT AND USER FEES; PROVIDING FOR APPLICABILITY WITHIN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
